There are six major distance races in the Pacific Northwest, listed below in rough order of length. I have competed in three of them.

A 193-mile race from Portland, OR, to Victoria, BC.

A set of four races out of Victoria, BC, on Memorial Day weekend.

I plan to sail the 2018 Cape Flattery race aboard Bravo Zulu again.

In 2017 I sailed the Cape Flattery race aboard Bravo Zulu, and we came 3rd in Division (14th Overall).

Southern Straits Website →

A set of four races out of Vancouver, BC, on the Easter weekend. I sailed the 2018 Long Course aboard Amazing Grace, and we came 5th in Division (10th Overall).

A 76-mile race with an overnight stop around San Juan County, Washington.

I sailed the 2016 race aboard Bravo Zulu. We came 4th in Division.

Boats

Since arriving in Seattle I have raced on board several boats.

Bravo Zulu

My Primary boat since 2016 has been Bravo Zulu, a Beneteau First 40.7 based at CYC Seattle.

We compete in many Puget Sound race series and regattas, including: the Southern Sound Series; CYC Seattle's Centre Sound Series; SYC's Tri-Island series; CYC Seattle's Puget Sound Spring Regatta; CYC Seattle's Wednesday Night Series; CYC Seattle's Puget Sound Sailing Championship; and SYC's Grand Prix.

Amazing Grace

For Southern Straits 2018, I competed aboard Amazing Grace, a C&C Custom 40, built to the IOR Two-Ton rule. Amazing Grace is based in Vancouver, BC.

Occam's Razor

I competed at Whidbey Island Race Week 2017 aboard Occam's Razor, a Farr ILC 40, based in Vancouver, BC.

Ignitor

I competed at Whidbey Island Race Week 2016 aboard Ignitor, a Martin 29.
